It all began in the 90’s. “Where should we go”, they asked. “Missionaries to africa?”

Let’s Go.

Bishop G.C. Mattocks and Sister Cindy Mattocks go out from their home church in Chehalis, to start a home missions work in Yelm.

Stock markets didn’t crash. Money still buys things. The new millennium begins and so does Yelm JNPC.

Moving On Up!

After 3 years of having church in the choir room of Yelm Middle School. They find a church property just a block away. It’s perfect! A fellowship hall, a parsonage, a sanctuary and classrooms. It had everything, just needed some remodeling!

It’s now 2003…

Remodel…

Once the buildings and properties were purchased, it was now time to start the long process of renovation and restoration! The buildings and property were greatly neglected. First, they remodeled the fellowship hall and began having Church. Next the parsonage and the sanctuary were to be remodeled. Right at one decade later all the buildings were renovated. The Lord provided the funds and the workers over a period of time.

Revival is here.

By 2016 we were having regular services in our newly remodeled sanctuary. The fellowship hall is now used for Children’s Church and has been renamed the “Family Center”. The Parsonage is fully remodeled as well as the property coming ever closer to being completed.

Transition.

2020 came around with all of its blunders and uncertainties across the globe. Mean while, the Lord had plans for Yelm Church to continue in growth and into the next chapter. Bishop Mattocks, the founder of Yelm JNPC, retired after a 20 year tenure. Reverend Colton J. Wark was installed as Pastor in July of 2020

Harvest Time!

The Future of Yelm JNPC is bright! We are the light set upon a hill that cannot be hid. God has called us here for such a time as this. We plan to build our new building on a 10 acre plot just 1 mile from the current location. This new building will be able to seat hundreds of people. We are in the time of Harvest!

We welcome you and your family to be apart of this great harvest at the Yelm Jesus Name Pentecostal Church!
